About Jordan Kragten
Jordan Kragten began working with injured people in a busy foot and ankle surgery practice in Mission Viejo, California. His natural curiosity and strong work ethic propelled him from the initial job of filing and cleaning to running the back office, coordinating patient recovery care, and teaching surgical procedures to medical residents.
It was there that Jordan saw:
- a pedestrian whose foot had been smashed by a car
- a cyclist with an ankle that had been shattered when he was hit by a van
- a painter with a crushed heel who had fallen off improperly constructed scaffolding.
None of those injuries were the fault of these individuals. Their pain made an impression on Jordan, as did the stress they experienced trying to pull their disrupted lives back together compounded by the confusion and frustration of having to also pay for extensive medical treatment.
As a result, Jordan developed deep empathy for injured people along with an extensive knowledge of how medical providers and insurance companies work. And as an avid motorcyclist, he is also extraordinarily aware of the impact that other people’s carelessness can have on us all.
Jordan considered studying medicine, but ultimately his passion for helping people and love of a challenge led him to a career in law. He received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Georgia State University, summa cum laude and earned his Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law. Jordan is licensed by the State Bar of Georgia.
In his spare time, Jordan likes to build things. Preferably out of metal. He and his wife enjoy gardening, motorcycle rides, fishing, and teaching their dog to talk.
